Local bow hunters hold 3-D shoot

Wednesday, 27 August 2008 - 3:17pm.

Bow hunters from Fort Frances and International Falls participated in a 3-D shoot on Sunday, Aug. 24, hosted by the Fort Frances Archers. This competition was designed to give locals an opportunity to test their skills after a summer of practicing.
Thirty-nine targets, which are three-dimensional life-like animals, were placed on trails throughout the Fort Frances Sportsmen’s Club property at Frog Creek. One of the competitors was overheard complaining that a Machiavellian mind must have been in charge of of the set-up because some were almost concealed by branches, others partially obscured by logs, and a few in dark shadows.
