Skeet shooting no easy task

Thursday, 31 July 2008 - 2:53pm.

Regardless of how long you’ve been shooting skeet, your best efforts sometime result in a score five targets or so below your usual average.

The best marksman at the weekly Tuesday evening shoot at the Fort Frances Sportsmen’s Club range is Len Noonan, who averages scores near a perfect “25” each time out.

But sometimes those pesky, fast-moving targets bring even him to his knees. Top scores this week event included Tony Manuge (18, 22, 19), Jerry Koslucker (19, 21), Paul Fisher (18, 21, 22), Brad Houghton (21—his personal best), Ted Brockie (23, 21), and Jeremy McGuire (20, 20).
